  12. I had the same problem with my modem set to Com4, IRQ3. Seems that
  13. Win95 has a REAL problem with Com4 where the video card uses an S3
  14. chipset. So I disabled com2 on the IDE I/O, set the modem to Com2 IRQ3
  15. and everything works fine. BTW, Com3 didn't work either. You will need
  16. get into control panel and let the install hardware run again to
  17. detect the new modem setting.
